We are proud to say that we have revamped the old guerilla group target build system and launched a new one, which is currently running live. The old system was slow when it recieved a large number of ad tasks it needed to prepare. The new system is now building ad tasks much faster and in parallel fashion. We can now prepare large number of ad tasks in very short amount of time, so you should be seeing big increase in speed when dealing with this task group.

Please note that we have also added a new task status called “Pending - Building Targets”. This task status is set right after the “Created - Pending Analysis” task status. It means that website targets are currently being prepared for the task. You can always watch the progress of this step by logging into your account and navigating to your campaign. The number of targets is available under “Suggested” column. You can then click this link to get more details on which website targets have been assigned to this task.

We have just added a new feature to the advertiser portal accessible from the main home page called “Create Bulk Campaigns And Tasks ( CSV File Required )”. This feature allows you upload a CSV file which can be saved from popular software such as Microsoft Excel and which contains bulk campaign and task data. You are allowed to add 250 individual tasks or rows per each CSV file. This can greatly speed up your campaign / task creation time. You could also automate the process if you are a developer. The CSV file specification is explained in detail on the upload page and allows you to control every aspect of the task, such as linking strategy, page rank threshold, auto confirmation, keywords, posting limit and so on.

Please note that at this time we only are supporting two main groups with this facility ( guerilla and direct marketing types ). All the subgroups underneath them such as ( forum, blog, comment, guestbook, classified, press release, social bookmarking and so on ) are supported as well.

We have added another internal option called “Auto Confirm Targets” to the advertiser portal, under the “Delivery And Website Targeting Options” section when creating new ad tasks of any group or type.

Please note that this option is not enabled by default and essentially allows you to skip the manual confirmation process when creating new tasks. When this option is enabled, the newly created task will go immidately into our approval and live publishing queue as soon as the website targets get acquired, so there is no need to wait for website targets to show up and then approve each task manually, unless you need to review your website targets first. This option has been implemented for all task groups ( Guerilla, Direct, Trusted And Other ) and individual task types.

We have added carryover of the payments owed from the old system in the form of bonuses. The bonus amount will appear below the Payable field. This was added for both operators and publishers under widecircles default operator account. Please note that our minimum payout rates are still in effect. They are $25.00 USD for individual publisher and $50.00 for group operator. Once these amounts are reached and if correct payment system method has been set in the profile, your payment will be transfered automatically within 24-48 hours.

Today we have reached an important milestone. WideCircles v2.0 has been released to everyone. The new version of the system adds many new marketing groups / channels. It also features per group pricing method, variable driven settle in times and allows you to buy marketing credits directly with credit card on our merchant gateway without using paypal.

Publishers and operators have also recieved enhanced portals that allow them to manage trusted forums, task type subscriptions, payments and more.

However, more importantly, this version introduces extensible architecture which will allow us to add many more task types and groups with time to come. If you are unsure about something, please contact us and our fanatical support team will try to answer your questions in a quick manner.

We are currently testing new widecircles v2.0 system with limited set of publishers and advertisers that were invited to our new program. We are now underway for the full release of the system, that will be made available to everyone by Oct 3 2008. This is the final date. Please note that if you are existing advertiser, your credits will transfer in full to the new system. For the publishers the payments will also automatically transfer to the new system.

We have been delayed with our rollout of the v2.0 system as it turned out to be far more time consuming in implementation then we originally envisioned ( after going through several revisions ). However we have finished our implementation and are now in the final testing stages and preparation to transition to the new platform in the upcoming week. Very soon you may recieve a notice that system will be down for 24 hour period during the upgrade phase. We will correctly carry over all the credits and payments from the old system as well as the account data.

Also you may notice less posting tasks as we are transitioning towards the upgrade. Do not be alarmed by this, we will be back in full capacity after the upgrade. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Finally there has been a story going that we had authorized agents in other countries representing us. This is not the case, we have up to this date not authorized anyone to act on our behalf. You should be very careful when talking with these kinds of people as we are not to be held liable in any way.

Dear WideCircles Advertiser,

We have introduced a few small changes in the website target build system. Moderated
websites will now be excluded automatically, before they are given to publishers. Also we
are checking the target URL provided in your ad task against previous active postings. If
previous active posting is found, then it is excluded automatically as well, meaning a
linking power will be distributed more evenly and there should be less problems with similiar
posting abuse. Our publishers have additionally been given more effective tools to help them
with proper link strategy.

This will be our last update to the codebase of the v1.0 system and we will go into code
freeze early next week in preparation for the rollout of the WideCircles v2.0 system at the
end of August 2008. This version will feature many new ad task groups and types ( including highly trusted
forum member posting, social bookmarking, etc. ). You will also be able to recieve unique content
( 100% human written ) as per your specification and do captcha image analysis via our web api backend.

We hope that WideCircles will become a unique solution that will answer the needs of many people in
the industry today. We have built this version in combination to feedback we recieved from you
and our own ideas. The next release of the system will represent a major shift in a way internet
advertising, seo, link building, content writing and other complex processing is done and we
are proud to be behind this technology.

If you are using “Link Spy” or “Link Replicator” feature, please make sure you input full URL’s
instead of keywords, otherwise you will get 0 results. For example “http://site-to-copy-links-from.com”.

New ad task type called “Link Spy” was added to help advertisers spy on their competition and beat them at their own game. Yes that’s right, you can now enter up to 5 URL’s or domains into the “Keywords or URL’s” box when creating ad task. The system will then analyze the URL’s entered and generate up to 500 unique target sites for each entry.

These 500 target sites are sites that link to the URL’s entered. The publishers then recieve these and can post on them. With this task type you can easily place your links on same sites where your competition did. Then you would supplement these with your own fresh ones to effectively beat them. Please note that publisher cannot always post on site where your competition has a link, due to access or certain rules for example.

We have also extended the PR Threshold option menu, you can now choose either:

* Do Not Generate Page Rank ( This option is default and allows website target list to be built much faster, because no PR calculation is involved, usually within 1-2 minutes )

* Generate Page Ranks But Do Not Filter ( This option allows you to still generate Page Ranks for every single website in the list but do not perform any filtering. You can then filter the websites yourself manually at later time by examining their generated Page Ranks for example. )

Lastly you can choose PR threshold ( from 0 to 10 ) to control auto filtering i.e. to select only the sites which meet the specified threshold.

In the Keyword or URL’s box you can now specify keywords or URL’s by using either newline or comma format. For example you can separate your entries using newlines like this:

mykeyword1

mykeyword2

or you can use commas, like this:

mykeyword1,mykeyword2,mykeyword3

Also please remember that you should only use URL’s for “Link Spy” task, so for example if you wanted to spy on domain “cars.com” you would enter the following into the keywords or URL’s box:

or you would enter:

http://cars.com
