We are proud to say that we have revamped the old guerilla group target build system and launched a new one, which is currently running live. The old system was slow when it recieved a large number of ad tasks it needed to prepare. The new system is now building ad tasks much faster and in parallel fashion. We can now prepare large number of ad tasks in very short amount of time, so you should be seeing big increase in speed when dealing with this task group.

Please note that we have also added a new task status called “Pending - Building Targets”. This task status is set right after the “Created - Pending Analysis” task status. It means that website targets are currently being prepared for the task. You can always watch the progress of this step by logging into your account and navigating to your campaign. The number of targets is available under “Suggested” column. You can then click this link to get more details on which website targets have been assigned to this task.

We have just added a new feature to the advertiser portal accessible from the main home page called “Create Bulk Campaigns And Tasks ( CSV File Required )”. This feature allows you upload a CSV file which can be saved from popular software such as Microsoft Excel and which contains bulk campaign and task data. You are allowed to add 250 individual tasks or rows per each CSV file. This can greatly speed up your campaign / task creation time. You could also automate the process if you are a developer. The CSV file specification is explained in detail on the upload page and allows you to control every aspect of the task, such as linking strategy, page rank threshold, auto confirmation, keywords, posting limit and so on.

Please note that at this time we only are supporting two main groups with this facility ( guerilla and direct marketing types ). All the subgroups underneath them such as ( forum, blog, comment, guestbook, classified, press release, social bookmarking and so on ) are supported as well.

We have added another internal option called “Auto Confirm Targets” to the advertiser portal, under the “Delivery And Website Targeting Options” section when creating new ad tasks of any group or type.

Please note that this option is not enabled by default and essentially allows you to skip the manual confirmation process when creating new tasks. When this option is enabled, the newly created task will go immidately into our approval and live publishing queue as soon as the website targets get acquired, so there is no need to wait for website targets to show up and then approve each task manually, unless you need to review your website targets first. This option has been implemented for all task groups ( Guerilla, Direct, Trusted And Other ) and individual task types.

We have added carryover of the payments owed from the old system in the form of bonuses. The bonus amount will appear below the Payable field. This was added for both operators and publishers under widecircles default operator account. Please note that our minimum payout rates are still in effect. They are $25.00 USD for individual publisher and $50.00 for group operator. Once these amounts are reached and if correct payment system method has been set in the profile, your payment will be transfered automatically within 24-48 hours.

New guerilla marketing keyword limit is 2000 target websites per keyword. This gives you significantly more websites ( up to 10,000 ) per single ad task if you use all 5 possible keywords to generate targets in guerilla marketing group as an advertiser. Please note that generation time has increased slightly due to this.

We have recieved complaints from several operator accounts, that there is a person who is pretending to be official representative from our company and has created a fake authorization letter to show or enable this process. This person is engaged in illegal selling of the operator and publisher accounts to the widecircles community. Again all operator/publisher accounts are 100% free and should never be purchased from any third party, but only created on our website again free of charge. We do not have any official representatives anywhere, other then internal staff in two offices we run.

If you have problem with this, please let us know and we can assist you further. Do not under any circumstances purchase accounts from anyone in any country posing as our representative or you will risk getting banned from our system as well as face legal consequences. You must create a free account on our website. If you are operator you can create free publisher accounts but only for your own company/business and not for re-sale. Please understand that no one has any re-sale rights.

We are in the process of restoring all the old payment and campaign data for both advertisers and publishers/operators. For those publishers/operators who did not have their payment completed, you are not to worry as we will carry your earnings into the next pay cycle from the old system. This will be applied to your account as bonus payment. Our restore operation may take several days as we are dealing with large amount of data so we ask that you please be patient and bear with us during this time. We are now running automated publisher and operator subscriptions for fulfillment task types. This means for all new accounts ( unless you have subscribed manually ), whether you are enrolled by your operator or directly via the registration form you will be subscribed automatically to all task types within 10 minutes. You can check status of your subscriptions and opt out of anything you do not like by selecting “Manage Subscriptions”. For any questions do not hesitate to contact us directly.

We have resolved a small issue pertaining to advertiser direct credit card payments and IE/Opera browser issues. You should be able to purchase credits without paypal now directly with our merchant gateway using either VISA or MasterCard. Please let us know if you encounter any problems. We are here to help!

Today we have reached an important milestone. WideCircles v2.0 has been released to everyone. The new version of the system adds many new marketing groups / channels. It also features per group pricing method, variable driven settle in times and allows you to buy marketing credits directly with credit card on our merchant gateway without using paypal.

Publishers and operators have also recieved enhanced portals that allow them to manage trusted forums, task type subscriptions, payments and more.
